WHERE IS weRow LOCATED?

Northeast Minneapolis. Our address is 34 13th Avenue NE, Minneapolis, MN 55413. Suite 110. We have a separate entrance located on the South corner of the Historical Keg House Arts Building. Just park, walk to the right and around the corner of the main entrance.

I’VE NEVER BEEN ON AN ERG (ROWER), CAN I STILL COME TO weRow?

Absolutely! We have new crew members in almost every weRow class. If it's your first time with us, we recommend arriving 15 minutes before class so we can teach you the fundamentals of the rowing stroke.

I HAVEN’T WORKED OUT IN A WHILE, CAN I STILL COME TO weRow?

Of course you can! Indoor rowing is for any fitness level; from the super fit, to the athlete, to the severely obese, to those who have never exercised before. With every stroke, you are in control of your workout, pushing your own unique intensity. Just remember, with each class comes increased strength and confidence. If you haven’t worked out in a while, go at your own pace but still challenge yourself, listen to your body, and have fun!

HOW DO I SIGN UP FOR A CLASS?

Signing up is easy! You can use this BOOK A CLASS link. Review the CLASS SCHEDULE, select the desired class and follow the prompts to create your account. To reserve a spot in class, you must sign up for your free week, purchase an individual class, buy a membership, or buy a class pass. We also love the MindBody Connect App. Download it onto your iPhone, iPad, tablet or mobile device. This way you can sign up anytime while on the go!

THE CLASS I WANT IS FULL. SHOULD I PUT MY NAME ON THE WAITLIST?

Absolutely! Cancellations do occur, and weRow clients are asked to cancel 8 hours prior to class. We will notify you via text or email if a spot opens up. This notification automatically enrolls you in class.

WHAT IS YOUR CLASS CANCELLATION POLICY?

Because we have a high demand for classes, class reservations may be cancelled without penalty up to 8 hours before the scheduled class. Once you cancel your class, the class will be returned to your series to be used at a future date. Classes not cancelled within the 8-hour window will result in a loss of the scheduled class and a $12 cancellation fee will be applied to your account.

HOW WILL I KNOW IF A CLASS HAS BEEN CANCELLED?

If weRow needs to cancel a class due to weather, an emergency, or low class attendance, an email will be sent out to all registered participants and the class will be returned to your series to be used at a future date.

WHAT IF I’M RUNNING LATE?

Running late but on your way? Call us at 612-354-3581 and we’ll hold your rower for up to 7 minutes after class start time. If you do not call or check in by class start time, your rower will be given away to someone on the waitlist. In fairness to all our customers, no one will be admitted into class more than 7 minutes after class start, as it is too disruptive.

*Note: If it’s your first time with us, we recommend arriving at least 15 minutes before class and on your rower by class start time. We will teach proper rowing form in the first 5 minutes, so it is crucial that our first-timers receive this instruction before taking class.

WHO IS ROWING?

Everyone is indoor rowing! They are doing it in California, New York, Boston, Texas, Chicago and now Minneapolis! Indoor rowing is for beginners, experienced rowers, triathletes, fitness fanatics to occasional exercisers wanting a full-body endurance workout that will leave you sweat-soaked while being easy on your precious joints.

WHAT AGE RANGE IS ROWING?

Members must be at least 12 years old to row. However, all ages are rowing; 100 year olds and all ages in between. If you don’t believe us, meet Robin Phillips, a 70-year old who trains four times a week on the rowing machine. Read here.

*Note: If you are under 18, your parent or guardian will need to sign a waiver in person.

CAN I ROW IF I AM PREGNANT?

We recommend you check with your doctor before rowing at weRow. If you have rowed in the past and your doctor says it’s OK… then YES! Also make sure to tell your rowing coach when you come so that we can help monitor your intensity level and provide exercise modification if needed.

I’M OVERWEIGHT. IS INDOOR ROWING AT weRow FOR ME?

Absolutely! Anyone can do it; from the super fit to the severely obese. A seated activity, rowing removes the body weight and impact from the injury prone joints of the hips, knees and ankles.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

No baggy clothes. Wear your sneakers and fitted, comfortable workout clothes. Baggy clothes getting caught on the erg or exposing you just isn’t a good look.

DO YOU HAVE SHOWERS AND CHANGING ROOMS?

We do not have shower facilities, but we do have one unisex restroom and a changing room. We do encourage you to come ready to row.

WHERE CAN I STORE MY STUFF?

We provide cubbies for you to store your belongings. It’s located in the studio where you will be rowing.

HOW MANY CALORIES ARE BURNED IN CLASS?

Our rowing machines have monitors displaying your total calories, but research indicates that on average, indoor rowing burns between 600 to 1000 calories an hour, and 450 to 800 calories in a 45-minute class.

*Note: Calorie burn rates approximated on a 155 lb person exercising at a moderate rate.

WILL INDOOR ROWING MAKE ME BULK UP?

No! That’s a myth. Rowing is an excellent cardiovascular workout, working 9 major muscle groups: your quads, hamstrings, glutes, lats, core, shoulders, back, triceps and biceps. Think lean and long while improving your endurance and increasing our metabolism.

You can enter the gift card code online at check out or use the gift card in the studio.
