We are beyond excited to be back in the studio, and want to make sure that if you are new to the crew, or you haven’t been back, that you feel comfortable in knowing that we are doing everything to ensure that weRow continues to be a safe place for you and your Rowstar Coaches. Welcome back, and thank you for trusting your workouts with us whether it’s in the studio or virtually!
Here are the studio cleaning and safety standards we have been following since we reopened!
THE WEROW STANDARD OF SAFETY
INDOOR WORKOUTS. We have fewer, smaller classes - 9 members per class and one Rowstar Coach. The door will be propped open and fans will not be used.
CLASS SCHEDULE. We will continue to have a limited class schedule. Classes with 3 or fewer attendees will be canceled hours prior to the start of class.
ERGS PLACED AT A SAFE DISTANCE. We are adhering to strict social distancing of 6 feet apart between all ergs and class members.
KEEPING IT CLEAN. We will continue a regular and thorough cleaning routine of sanitizing and disinfecting to ensure that all high-touch surfaces (including doorknobs, handles, benches, etc) and ergs are as clean as possible. We also disinfect the studio from top to bottom twice as often per week.
CLEAN. ROW. CLEAN. ROW. We disinfect all ergs before and after every class.
FACE MASKS. Crew, when not rowing, we ask that you wear a mask; please bring your own, or purchase a weRow branded mask when at the studio. Whenever your Rowstar Coaches are not rowing, we will have on our weRow masks.
SANITIZING WIPES & HAND SANITIZER. We have hand sanitizer available at the entry. Disinfectant wipes are available so you can wipe down your ergs before and after use.
NO MORE HI-FIVES. Ugh... You know community, hi-fives, and love is in our DNA, but right now, we are changing to air hi-fives and toe-taps to celebrate our hard rows. This is the best way to take care of our weRow Fam.
BEFORE YOU ROW
HANDS-FREE ROWING TUTORIAL. We love our new crew! If this is your first time with us, please arrive 15 minutes before class so that we can review the fundamentals of the row stroke from a safe distance. We will coach you on form using demonstration and verbal cues instead of using hands on corrections.
HIGH-TOUCH AMENITIES. To limit hand-to-hand contact, we're removing hair ties and chalk. Towel service is suspended. Please bring your own towel.
HANDS-FREE CHECK IN. Pre-registration is required for all classes, and check-in is hands-free. This isn't new. I just wanted to add it :).
SOCIAL DISTANCING PRACTICES. Let's practice social distancing while coming and leaving class. Please limit your time in the studio to 10 minutes before and after class. When in the studio, please wear your mask when not rowing. Also remain 6 feet from your row buddy before, during and after class.
PERSONAL ITEMS. Please bring the bare essentials into the studio - your phone, keys, your own towel, and water bottle. The changing room will be temporarily closed so please come dressed and ready to row.
EMERGENCY WATER FOUNTAIN USE ONLY. We strongly urge you to bring your own water.
WE NEED YOUR HELP TOO
WASH YOUR HANDS AND AVOID TOUCHING YOUR FACE. Please take a minute to wash your hands before and after each class. Use soap and water, sing the alphabet (or count to 20), and use your paper towel when touching the door handle immediately afterward.
REST. If you have a cough, fever, or symptoms of COVID-19, please do not come to the studio until you are symptom-free, fever-free or you've tested negative for COVID-19. We will be here for you when you're healthy and feel comfortable coming back to row with the crew.
CANCEL BY THE DEADLINE. Since class size will be limited, please unreserve your erg 8 hours prior to your scheduled class so that your weRow wait-listed buddy can get into class. Our 8-hour cancellation policy will remain in effect due to limited class availability; therefore, the $12 fee will be enforced.
CLEAN YOUR EQUIPMENT. Thank you for always spending time at the end of class wiping down your erg. We will sanitize ergs at the end of class and at the beginning of each class, too.
WE LOOK FORWARD TO ROWING WITH YOU!
Crew - We love rowing with you, and our biggest priority is keeping everyone safe and at a distance. We've developed our new standards of safety utilizing the CDC's recommendations as well as our state's guidelines when implementing our "new normal" policies and procedures. However, if you feel uncomfortable rowing indoors, we will keep the door propped open and there's plenty of room to row in the parking spot right in front of the door.
Let's remain safe and healthy while crushing those meters! If you have any questions, don't hesitate to email or call.
